Many of my friends from my school years will remember Adam Dabell. A bright and vivacious character that lit up so many peoples lives. Sadly his life was brought to a short end when he feel ill playing football with an underlying heart condition. Since that tragic event his family have held a yearly memorial match in his name to keep his legacy going.

Unfortunately this years Adam Dabell Memorial match had to be cancelled this year due to the circumstances. It is important to note that the game will not disappear and will take place at the next opportunity.

It is fantastic news that John Dabell has recently been appointed Town Major of East Grinstead town and CRY is one of his chosen charities. This will mean that the charity will gain further support and awareness.

Whilst the game will not be on this year, the least I can do is pledge online instead. Charities are really finding it tough this year given that events and many fundraising events are unable to take place. Fingers crossed we can see the memorial match back on and we can support the charity next year.

Please visit the CRY website to learn more about the charity.
